Jan Söder
Founder / Creative Director
Started the design agency REDBARN in 2008 in connection with the first assignment partaking in the design of a new contemporary hotel in central Beijing, China.
Before that, Jan Soder was involved as the overhead creative and interior designer for Nordic Sea Hotel and Nordic Light Hotel in central Stockholm. Besides the Nordic Hotels concept, Jan was also responsible for the design of the Blue Hotel at Lidingo, situated some 30 minutes outside central Stockholm.
In 2014 he was in charge of the overall design concept development of The Winery Hotel.
In the mid-eighties, he worked for the Scandinavian Airlines Design Agency, where he was the Creative Director for several years.

Joaquim de Abreu
Light designer / Interior designer
Lighting designer Joaquim de Abreu founded the company ABREU, a Stockholm-based studio of design, in 2016 working within the fields of architecture, interiors, lighting and lighting design. The collaboration with Söder Design has been going on for many years, and they previously worked together at Nordic Light Hotel.

Originally trained as a graphic designer; worked at Young & Rubicam Advertising Agency for several years; Creative Director at Landor Associates Scandinavia; Project Manager for Stockholm-based Design Agency Guld & Grona Skogar; Managing Director for strategic design agency Amore. Today Photographer.
Jan Malmström worked closely with both Jan Söder and Joaquim Abreu as a consultant for Nordic Hotels between 2002-2009.
